Aerials in the Montsià capital
Amposta is a town on the banks of the Ebro, with a centre of flats and streets of houses, and a municipality that opens out towards the Delta. In the built-up area most of the calls we get have to do with communal installations that have fallen behind the times:
- Old amplifiers that do not filter 5G and have been overloading ever since the 700 MHz band stopped being used for television.
- Buildings with no ICT, with cascaded distribution where the last homes on the run receive very little.
- Damaged cable and connectors on roofs and in courtyards.
- Aerials knocked off aim by the mestral wind, which blows hard in this part of the country.
With a field meter we pin the fault down to the head-end, the distribution or the socket, and propose the specific repair. If the association wants a thorough renewal, we put forward a programmable central unit with a filter and a distribution balanced across the floors. It is set out under communal TV aerials.
Poblenou del Delta, Balada and L’Eucaliptus
The municipality of Amposta reaches out to the Delta and the coast. Poblenou del Delta and Balada are small villages surrounded by rice fields, with low-rise houses and individual aerials. L’Eucaliptus, next to the beach, is full of second homes. In all of them the same pattern repeats: flat, open ground, wind with nothing to stop it and constant damp.
What we prioritise here is ruggedness: a well-guyed mast, outdoor clamps, protected connectors and cable rated for the weather. For anyone wanting international channels, or something to go alongside terrestrial, we fit satellite dishes aimed at Astra 19.2° E or Hispasat 30° W.
Shops and industrial units: cameras and access control
Amposta has a substantial amount of retail and business activity, and much of what we do in the town is not aerial work at all. We fit CCTV with IP cameras and an NVR recorder for shops, offices, stores and units, with phone access so you can see what is going on without being there. We make sure the cameras record what they need to and that the monitored-area notice is in plain sight.
Where there are several employees, shift patterns or suppliers coming and going, access control by card, fob or keypad lets you know who is coming in and withdraw permissions without changing any locks.
Door entry in the associations of Amposta
In the blocks in the centre there are plenty of audio-only entry systems with many years behind them. When they start to fail, the most practical option is usually to move to 2-wire video entry using the existing cabling, or to an IP system where the building allows it. We inspect the installation and quote free of charge before touching anything.
What the quote covers
Whether it is an aerial or a camera system, the quote we give you in Amposta sets out what we are going to do and why. It normally records:
- The result of the measurement or the inspection, explained without needless jargon.
- The materials that have to be replaced or added, and what is still doing its job.
- The scope of the work: roof, distribution, sockets, number of cameras or access points.
- What it does not cover, so there are no misunderstandings.
We do not start work until you approve it, and when we finish we check everything with you watching: signal at each socket, the picture from each camera or a call from the entrance panel.
How we organise visits from Salou
Amposta is among the furthest towns from our base, and we would rather be honest: we do not handle immediate emergencies in this area. We take your call, ask for photos and a description, suggest a date grouping Terres de l’Ebre jobs together and arrive with the necessary materials. On the same route we look after Tortosa and Deltebre.
