CCTV for farms, stores and country houses
Vinyols i els Arcs is farming country: two small villages and a great deal of cultivated land around them. Stores with machinery inside, sheds full of tools and country houses that are not always occupied. It is the sort of place where having eyes on the property counts for a lot.
Our CCTV for spaces like these is planned along these lines:
- A survey of the site: entrances, loading areas, store doors and blind spots.
- Outdoor IP cameras with night vision, built for dust, rain and sun.
- An NVR recorder keeping the footage locally, with no dependence on the cloud.
- Phone access wherever there is a connection: fibre, a 4G router or a wireless link.
- The monitored-area notice, with the cameras pointed inside your own property, as data protection rules require.
If the land lies well away from the house where the internet arrives, we can join the two points with an outdoor wireless link. That connection then serves other purposes too, such as wifi reaching the store.
Controlled entry on plots and units
People who work the land usually end up sharing keys with family, employees or seasonal workers. Access control puts a stop to keys going back and forth: a keypad with a separate code per person, cards, or opening from a phone. When somebody no longer needs to get in, you cancel their credential and that is that.
TV aerials in the two villages
In Vinyols and in Els Arcs almost everything is a village house with its own aerial on the roof. The faults we find are not big-city faults; they belong to installations that have gone many years without a look:
- Aerials that lost channels after the frequency change of 2020.
- Coaxial cable running down the facade, cracked by the sun.
- Failed amplifiers, or amplifiers with no power supply.
- Mobile phone interference, put right with a 5G filter.
We repair your TV aerial and measure at every socket, so no room is left with a problem. In the country houses of the municipality, before suggesting any amplification we check that the aerial is properly aimed and properly fixed: very often that is exactly where the fault is.
What each kind of customer asks for
- Farmers with a store: cameras on the doors and over the machinery, with an alert to the phone if movement is picked up out of hours.
- Families in a village house: the aerial checked, one more socket for the new bedroom and, sometimes, wifi on the upper floor.
- Owners of a weekend place in the country: cameras they can look at from a distance and code entry for whoever keeps an eye on the property.
Every case has its own quote, but the way we work does not change: look first, propose afterwards.
What happens on the first visit
We arrive, listen to what you need and walk round the house or the land with you. We take signal readings or measure distances, depending on the job. Then we send you a free quote setting out what materials we will use and what the labour covers. Nothing starts without your agreement, and when we finish we show you how to use the camera app or the entry system.
Village houses and refurbishments
If you are refurbishing a house in Vinyols or in Els Arcs, this is the moment to leave the installation ready: conduit for aerial and network cable, sockets in the bedrooms and provision for cameras. Doing it while the work is open costs far less effort than adding it afterwards in surface trunking.
