Aerial installation and repair in Cambrils
Cambrils is probably the town where our work varies most. There is the old quarter in the Centre, blocks of seafront flats at El Port and El Regueral, large gated developments with pools at Nou Cambrils and Cambrils Badia, and villas in Vilafortuny, La Llosa, El Pinaret and La Dorada. Each area has its own typical faults.
The front line (El Port, El Regueral). The enemy is salt. Rusted masts, green connectors, junction boxes full of water and amplifiers that fail intermittently. The usual symptom is a television that comes and goes, especially when it is humid or there is a storm.
Large developments (Nou Cambrils, Cambrils Badia). Here the aerial is communal and the trouble is usually at the head-end or in the network: old programmable central units, no LTE or 5G filter since the 700 MHz band went over to mobile, and splitters that have quietly deteriorated. When the upper flats are fine and the lower ones are not, or only one staircase fails, it is almost certainly distribution.
Private estates (Vilafortuny, La Llosa, El Pinaret, La Dorada). Individual aerials, many of them fitted when the house was built. After years of sun and wind they drift off aim, masthead amplifiers age and the cable cracks. We also see extended houses where new sockets were added without anyone working out the losses.
The Centre. Older buildings, roofs that are awkward to reach and simple communal installations that have been patched over the years.
In every case we measure with a field meter before proposing anything. Knowing whether the level is short, whether there is noise or whether the quality (MER) is low tells us where to work. Satellite dishes and international channels
Cambrils welcomes a great many visitors and owners from other countries every year, and most of them want to keep watching their own channels. We fit and realign satellite dishes towards Astra 19.2° E, where much of the European offering sits, or towards Hispasat 30° W, among other positions depending on what you need.

Door entry and access control in developments with a pool
The gated developments in Cambrils combine entrance halls, a car park, gardens and a communal pool. The door entry system is usually old and access to the shared areas barely controlled.
We repair and replace door entry systems: entrance panels, power supplies and lock releases, or a full change to video. If the building has old cabling, 2-wire systems make use of what is already there and keep the building work down.
For the shared areas we fit access control with proximity readers at the pool, the car park or perimeter gates. Each home gets its fobs and the association can cancel them when a tenant changes or one goes missing, which is very useful in buildings with a lot of seasonal letting.
Holiday lets: wifi and cameras
If you let a flat in Cambrils, the wifi matters as much as the television. In long flats or those with a big terrace, the provider’s router does not cover everything. If the television fails in your Cambrils flat: what to check first
Some problems are sorted without a visit. Before asking us to come out, try this:
- Retune the television. After a frequency change or a power cut, an automatic channel search brings back what is missing.
- See whether it fails on every set or just one. If it is only one, the fault is usually that socket, the lead to the set, or the set itself.
- Ask a neighbour. In buildings at El Port or Nou Cambrils, if other flats have the same trouble the fault is in the communal installation and the property manager should be told.
