Aerial engineers who live and work in Salou
When you ring an engineer from out of town, the first thing they ask is where your street is. Not with us: our base is on Roca Peixera and we drive around Salou every day. We know which promenade buildings have awkward roofs, which associations in the centre have shared the same communal aerial for decades, and how you actually get onto the roof of each block.
That closeness shows up in concrete ways:
- We can drop in and look at a fault without it being a long trip.
- Coming back for an adjustment after an installation is no trouble.
- We understand the seasons: Salou’s population multiplies in summer, and an aerial down in July is far more urgent than one in February.
Salt air, the front line and tall blocks
Salou lives facing the sea, and that has consequences for any telecoms installation. Along the Platja de Llevant, the Platja de Ponent and around Cap Salou, salt air attacks F connectors, clamps and masts. An aerial can still be pointing perfectly and lose quality anyway, because damp has worked its way into the coaxial.
Another very local case is the tall blocks along the promenade. Several towers close together can reflect the signal, and on some roofs the UHF aerial is better moved or turned. We also see 5G and LTE interference, corrected with filters at the head-end. It is all set out under TV aerials and satellite dishes.
At Cap Salou and around the coves, where houses sit on sloping plots among a lot of vegetation, the challenge is different: finding the spot on the roof with the clearest view, and protecting the mast from the wind.
Satellite dishes for holiday lets and foreign residents
Salou is home to many residents and visitors from other countries who want their own television. That makes satellite dishes one of our most common jobs here:
- An individual dish for one home or a particular flat.
- A communal dish with a multiswitch, so each flat picks its own satellite channels without a dish on every balcony.
- Realignment of dishes moved by the wind or by work on the facade.
Before we fit anything, we ask what you actually want to watch. Not every satellite suits every nationality, and it is better to get it right first time.
Blocks in the centre: door entry and wifi
The centre of Salou is full of apartment buildings with a shared entrance. We repair and replace door entry systems, both audio and video, and we can fit proximity key opening for owners who let by the week.
In holiday lets the complaint we hear most is wifi that will not reach the terrace or the bedrooms. A mesh system or a wired access point solves that far better than a repeater plugged in at random; we explain it under wifi solutions.
How we work in your home
- You tell us what is happening, ideally with a photo of the television or the equipment.
- We come and inspect, measuring the signal with a field meter.
- You get a free quote, no obligation, before we touch anything.
- We do the work and check the result at every socket.
If you are an owner who is not in Salou all year, we can also arrange the visit with your property manager, the agency handling the letting, or a neighbour with a key. We send the quote in writing and, once it is done, tell you what was changed so you are on top of it from wherever you are.
Salou and the surrounding area
We cover the whole municipality: the centre, the beach areas, Cap Salou and the coves. From here we head out to La Pineda and Vila-seca, west towards Cambrils and east to Tarragona.
